Kristina Hård

The Himalaya Letters

An elegant, dramatic and violent novel about a fascinating woman with many names but only one conviction – there is no room for feelings if you want to survive. She prefers names that end with an A and changes names faster than Intepol can send an email.

In the year 1906 a seedhunter is writing home to his beloved from slopes of the Himalayans. A hundred years later the letters find their way into the hands of a con artist, who changes her identity faster than Interpol can send an email. The letters become her friends in a rootless existence. No borders can stop our charming heroine, and eventually we come to realize that she knows as little of herself as we do. The story evolves around a huge inheritance, unsolved crimes, deserted exclusive apartments and priceless, black pearls hidden in the black soil of the French Riviera.
